what about marriage?

What does God have to say regarding marriage? I’m very aware that much has been written on this subject by writers over the centuries, but have seen very little that is true to inspired words. Most of what passes for marriage counseling is what to look for in a mate, not questioning if it is even God’s will to look for a mate at all.

It was God’s original plan for a man and woman to be together as a unit. Genesis 2:18 And the LORD God said, [It is] not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.” Verse 24: “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.”

There are many rules regarding sexuality and marriage relations in the Old Testament, given by a loving God to help the beings created in his image to be most happy. Nearly everything in the OT assumes that a man and woman will get married, and attempt to have children.

Then in the New Testament, Jesus gives some definite advice on this question in Matthew 19:10-12 “His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with [his] wife, it is not good to marry. But he said unto them, All [men] cannot receive this saying, save [they] to whom it is given. For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from [their] mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive [it], let him receive [it].” He shows that whoever can receive the instruction to not marry should receive it and not marry.

The Holy Spirit shows thru Paul in 1Corinthians 7:1-3 “Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: [It is] good for a man not to touch a woman. Nevertheless, [to avoid] fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.” Verses 7-9 “For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that. I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I. But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.” Verses 27-28 “Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife. But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you.”

It is clear beyond a doubt that it is best not to marry, but it is not a sin to marry. If anyone says it is a sin to marry, you can be sure that they are not led of God. 1Timothy 4:1-3 “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry,…”

What further instruction has God given us thru Ellen White?
Review and Herald Vol.1 03-24-1868 Dealing With Those Overtaken in the Sin of Adultery
6. As in the days of Noah, one of the signs of these times is a passion for injudicious and hasty marriages. Satan is in this. If Paul could remain single, and recommend the same to others, that he and they might be wholly the Lord’s, why not those who would be wholly his, and wish to make a sure thing of avoiding the cares, trials, and bitter anguish, so frequent in the experiences of those who choose the married life, remain as he was? And more, if he chose to remain so, and could recommend it to others, eighteen centuries since, would not to remain as he was, be a commendable course for those who are waiting for the coming of the Son of man, unless evidences were unquestionable that they were bettering their condition, and making Heaven more sure by so doing? When so much is at stake, why not be on the sure side everytime? James White, Ellen G. White.

General Conference Daily Bulletin 02-06-1893 Unpublished Testimony Relative to City Missions page 181
“Many of the marriages contracted in these last days prove to be a mistake. The parties make no advancement in spiritual things; their growth and usefulness ended with their marriage. There are men and women throughout the country who would have been accepted as laborers together with God if Satan had not laid his snares to entangle their minds and hearts in courtship and marriage. Did the Lord urge them to obtain the advantages of our schools and missions, that they might sink everything in courtship and marriage, binding themselves by a human band for a lifetime? By accepting the work of rearing children in these last days of uncertainty and peril, many place themselves in a position where they cannot labor either in the canvassing field or in any other branch of the cause of God, and some lose all interest to do this. They are content with a common, low level, and assimilate to the position they have chosen. The bewitching power of Satan’s deceptions wrought within the human heart its evil work. Instead of candidly considering the time in which we live, and the work they might do in leading others to the truth, they reason from a selfish standpoint, and follow the impulse of their own unconsecrated hearts. “The flesh lusteth against the spirit, and the spirit against the flesh.” The natural appetites and passions become a controlling power, and the result is that spiritual growth ceases; the soul is, as it were, paralyzed.
——————–
So we see that the writings of Ellen White agree with the Bible instruction that it is best not to marry, as marriage often proves more of a hindrance on the narrow path to heaven than a help.

“When so much is at stake, why not be on the sure (single) side everytime?”

the gospel of john video

Just finished watching this again. I would have to rate it the best movie i’ve seen ever. It follows the wording of the Bible exactly, but it is a new translation which some may need some adjusting to. As it is nearly 3 hours in length, i suggest you block out some time and watch the whole thing from beginning to end.

It really brings a lot into focus about how much Jesus went back and forth with the religious leaders, how Jesus did many miracles, how Jesus was very Jewish, and how he knew everything in advance. The human portrayal of him makes him seem very, very close.

powerful poet preaching

Recently i came across some youtube videos done by the “Passion for Christ Movement” (p4cm). They are in the style of kind of rapping poetry, so while the method may not be palatable to some, the message is strong. Very strong! I’ve watched several of them, and nearly all of them have me nodding multiple times and tears coming down my face etc. Just one of them brings more heart conviction of sin that i have gotten in years in Seventh-day Adventist churches.

Each one is only around 6 or 7 minutes long, and i highly, highly recommend them. Some other videos on their channel, while being very good too at laying the axe at the root of the tree, are best not watched around children.

God WILL raise up those who are not afraid to call sin by its right name.

3 common objections against the feasts answered

Many of my fellow Seventh-day Adventists use these 3 reasons to throw out the holy convocations of the Lord:
1. Keeping the Jewish customs and ceremonies is a denial of Christ.
2. If you go back to observe obsolete ceremonies, you have to do all things of the law.
3. The annual Jewish Feasts were specifically designed by the Lord to be kept in the land of Israel (only Israel).

All 3 of these are easily shown to be false, or based on false assumptions.

The number one false assumption, the one that kept me from embracing the feasts for so long, is the assumption that the feasts are part of the “ceremonial law”. This is not true. Please re-read Leviticus 23. Notice clearly how the 4th commandment is linked very closely to the feasts (while not actually being a feast itself). Notice too that all the feasts are called by God to be “holy convocations… My feasts”.

#1 This statement is true. However, there is no inspired quote showing that the feasts are part of the “Jewish customs and ceremonies”. God calls the feasts his, and explicitly says that they are statutes, and the statutes are to last forever.

#2 The feasts are not ceremonies.

#3 Jesus specifically told the woman at the well in John 4:21 “Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.” Paul kept the Passover years after the cross at Philippi “At Philippi Paul tarried to keep the passover.” (LP p.196)

The confusion also results from the fact that SOMETHING was abolished at the cross. Most SDAs pick and choose what they think was abolished, saying the 10 commandments and the statutes regarding unclean food, tithe, sexual relations etc. are still in force after the cross, but saying that wearing blue threads, sacrificing, and keeping the holy convocations are all abolished.

The fact is, Daniel 9:27 shows clearly what was to be abolished – the sacrifices and oblations.

Jesus kept the feasts “I will keep the passover” (Matt. 26:18). How can it be a denial of him to do as he did?!

Let’s study to show ourselves approved unto God.

sda church puts people in jail

Last month the SDA General Conference finally succeeded in imprisoning Pastor McGill. Now associate pastor Lucan Chartier has also been arrested.

Here are the news stories:
http://www.wbbjtv.com/news/local/West-Tennessee-Pastor-Arrested-in-California-162632876.html
http://www.wbbjtv.com/news/local/Second-Guys-Church-Member-Arrested–164677566.html

For those who don’t know what’s going on, the Seventh-day Adventist General Conference incorporated, and trademarked it’s name, in 1981, and has now been suing those who use the name “Seventh-day Adventist” (or even the word “Adventist”) without the approval of the General Conference. They claim they are suing people in order to protect the “good name” of the church.

The General Conference is using the civil government to accomplish it’s ends. This has led to persecution, confiscation of property, fines, and imprisonment, for those who felt they could not conscientiously give up the name “Seventh-day Adventist” because they believe from the Spirit of Prophecy it was a divinely ordained name (see 1T, 223).

The SDA church that claims to be fighting for freedom of religion is now using the power of the State to persecute those who desire to worship God according to their religious convictions.

The General Conference is doing the very thing that the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy told them not to do.

Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? (1Cor 6:1)

seventh-day adventists and women’s ordination video

Put up new video on YouTube today: http://youtu.be/4tLlMZ9f5ws

This video is to call on my fellow Seventh-day Adventists to follow the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy regarding the roles of men and women.

The immediate issue at hand is whether or not women should be ordained as pastors in the SDA church. As the details can be readily found on the web, i’ll just say that those supporting this, like most others that directly go against God’s word, are from the “rich” countries.

Now our General Conference leaders know what the Bible says about this, but to be politically correct they have avoided taking a stand on this issue so long that it has festered into an open sore where one Union, and probably more soon, are openly rebelling against their authority.

But what does God’s word say about this? Genesis 3:16 To the woman He said: “I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; In pain you shall bring forth children; Your desire [shall be] for your husband, And he shall rule over you.”

So one of the first things God establishes after sin enters the world is the relationship between men and women. 17 Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it’: “Cursed [is] the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat [of] it all the days of your life.

But those who reject God’s words want men and women to be equal. Well, if they can roll back God’s words about men having rule over women, then may they also try their best to remove the curse from the ground so we don’t have to sweat for our food anymore, and not return to dust either.

seventh-day adventists and conspiracy theories video

Today i uploaded a new video on YouTube asking my fellow Seventh-day Adventists who are into conspiracy theories to stop, repent, and get out of that business altogether.
http://youtu.be/IdPzLgPyqW8

This is the script for the video:
Seventh-day Adventists and conspiracy theories

On the day the President of the United States takes the oath of office facing the pagan phallic symbol in Washington, “they” will start spraying chemtrails from it to fluoridate the water so the black helicopters can be directed to the hidden concentration camps on the “moon” set where the black pope will appear as an alien lizard shape-shifter, declare martial law, and prepare the way for the Bilderbergers to take all our money and then manipulate HAARP to erase all these dastardly things from our collective memory. BWAHAHA! I’ve got it all figured out, and you sheeple who believe whatever the mass media tells you are doomed, doomed!!! And by the way, send me a check or credit card number so i can get this vital information out to as many of God’s remnant people as possible!

This video is to call fellow Seventh-day Adventists who believe in conspiracy theories to repent and turn back to spreading the Three Angels’ Messages.
—-
One common thread running thru all conspiracy theories is the idea that a hidden, super-powerful force that we can do nothing about is working to destroy us all. In that respect it is in accord with the SDA worldview of a Great Controversy Between Christ and His Angels and Satan and His Angels, the title of a book God had his messenger Ellen White write in 1858. Yes! there IS a big battle going on mostly unseen. This is what we Adventists should be focusing on – how to press forward the battle by spreading the truth as it is in Jesus. By focusing on these other things we are in fact helping the dark side in its battle with Christ.

new video on seventh-day adventists and islam

It’s been a long while in the gestation stage, and took much longer than planned to complete, but finally the video asking many leaders of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, of which i am a member, to repent for teaching that the god of Islam is the same as the God of the Christians, has been completed and uploaded to Youtube.

This should be very easy to understand, as the Qur’an emphatically says that god has no son, while the Bible emphatically says that he DOES have a son.

Many of us Seventh-day Adventists seem to have forgotten who Jesus is, and are telling people that the god of the Qur’an is the same as the God of the Bible.

Sura 18:4 And to warn those who say: Allah has chosen a son, 5 (A thing) whereof they have no knowledge, nor (had) their fathers, Dreadful is the word that comes out of their mouths. They speak naught but a lie.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
1John 2:23 Anyone who denies the Son does not have the Father either.

This video is to give information to those in the SDA church who may be wondering about Islam’s god, and to call God’s remnant church to repent for denying the Son of God.

The movie is around 20 minutes long, and is in 2 parts up on YouTube:
http://youtu.be/TKnq6rbJ4Io http://youtu.be/03LNyyXjn8E

The entire script:
Once upon a time all Seventh-day
Adventists knew that Jesus
was the Son of God, and
that the only way to the
Father was thru him.
(John 14:6)

Then a shocking event occurred
on Sep. 11, 2001, causing a
rush of interest in studying
about Islam.

Christ didn’t keep the ceremonies, but did keep the sabbaths

When i first started studying out the Feasts of the Lord at the urging of my cousin’s husband, i came across an article by Joe Crews. He lumped the feasts with the ceremonies, and showing conclusively that the ceremonies ended at the cross, said that the holy days did too. That sounded good to me, so i believed it. However, more and more i see i was wrong to believe so.

At the recent Bible Explorations Passover/Unleavened Bread campmeeting in Terra Bella California, there were few talks on the Feasts and Statutes of the Lord, but someone gave a quote by Ellen White that struck me hard, and should put this matter to rest:
*******
Advent Review and Sabbath Herald (6RH), 10-24-1899, Our Example

Christ passed through all the experiences of his childhood, youth, and manhood without the observance of ceremonial temple worship
—————
In other places, we have Jesus’ direct example that he DID keep the feasts. (Matt. 26:17 etc.)

Now tell me, when we are before the great judge of all the earth, will he be more likely to say “Well done you good and faithful servant” to those who did like Jesus did, or those who didn’t do like Jesus did?

seventh-day adventists and abortion

I’ve written a few posts already regarding the sin of God’s church in condoning abortions. Now i’ve made an 11-minute video about it. I’m hoping there will be feedback on this, to make it better, as i am certainly just an amateur!
Seventh-day Adventist Church and Abortion video

Here is the text used in the video:
Seventh-day Adventist Church and Abortion

The Seventh-day adventist church has an official document called “Guidelines on Abortion”. This video is to protest the position my church has taken.
——————-
My Seventh-day Adventist church prides itself on “keeping the commandments of God and having the faith of Jesus” – the 2 identifying marks of God’s church at the end time.

But the sad fact is, we make no pretensions to keeping the 6th commandment. Somehow we think that standing up for the 4th commandment like no other denomination does will make up for the killing of little, innocent children inside their mother’s wombs.
———————-
Many of our church members don’t have any idea that this is going on. We trust our leaders to be guiding the ship in a safe manner, unaware that for the sake of money, we have sold our soul.
——————–
This sad state of affairs started in earnest under the leadership of Neal Wilson in the 1970s, and every succeeding president of the church has condoned it. This is what he said while president of NAD in 1970: “Though we walk the fence, Adventists lean toward abortion rather than against it. Because we realize we are confronted by big problems of hunger and overpopulation, we do not oppose family planning and appropriate endeavors to control population.”
Ministry Magazine August 1991 Abortion: history of Adventist Guidelines

If that is not a Laodicean position, i don’t know what is.
————————

why don’t seventh-day adventists oppose abortion pill mandate?

As Seventh-day Adventists, we know very well that in the end time we will see America coalescing around religious ideas that we need to be right with God, but they will mistake what “right” is, and just follow the Roman Catholic Church’s definition. A large reason for that, is that the RCC is the only big organization with any form of moral compass left.

This is a quote from an article in The Weekly Standard titled “U.S. Council of Catholic Bishops: Obama’s Revised Contraception and Abortion Pill Mandate ‘Unacceptable'”:

First, he has decided to retain HHS’s nationwide mandate of insurance coverage of sterilization and contraception, including some abortifacients. This is both unsupported in the law and remains a grave moral concern. We cannot fail to reiterate this, even as so many would focus exclusively on the question of religious liberty.

It sickens and saddens me to see them getting all the spotlight on standing up against the latest government mandate to provide services to kill the unborn. Everybody with any moral character at all knows deep down that they are doing the right thing in this case. My question is where are our Seventh-day Adventist leaders and hospital administrators??? We should have been the ones to get the large free publicity in this situation, showing that we are standing firm for the word of God. But i hear nothing. In going to the ANN website, i see absolutely nothing regarding this even in communications to our own members, let alone to the world. If we do not stand up for the silent today, we deserve to be silenced in the future.

Isaiah 1:16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; 17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. 18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. 19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: 20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken [it].

Yes, our judgment, if we do not repent, will be sure and just.

new year starts with first new moon after equinox, new month with conjunction

As mentioned in the post last Sep regarding my biggest study project last year – God’s calendar, the 2 biggest assumptions that i wasn’t sure about, but that the evidence seemed to lean toward, was:
1. The new year starts after the spring (vernal) equinox
2. The new month starts at the conjunction (dark phase) of the moon

Well today i found good evidence for both of these positions 🙂

Genesis 1:14-19

And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. 16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: [he made] the stars also. 17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, 18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that [it was] good. 19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

This text is key for determining both the new year, new month, and new day. I think all Seventh-day Adventists understand that the day starts at sundown, as that is when the 7th day Sabbath begins. Each 7th day goes from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday.

The month is much trickier to determine. But keeping the above text in mind, and the principle of how the day starts, we can get very good instruction in determining when the new month starts. Since the new day starts when the darkness starts, and the rule of the sun is gone, it naturally follows that the new month would start when the darkness starts – i.e.: at the conjunction. Now i know it was determined for a long time in Israel by a physical sighting, but don’t see any place in the Bible where that is referred to at all. Psalms 81:3 says:

Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.

The Hebrew word for “time appointed” is kece which means “full”, but has the meaning of “plump”, and “filled up” with the implication of “cover” and “conceal”. Now this verse is used for a strange theory i just came across today on the wild-n-wooly internet, where some guy says the new month should really start from the full moon, not the new moon – ha! Anyway, to say that this word means full moon, when there is an implication of concealment is not good. Aha! but wait a minute. It’s true that the moon is “full” TWICE a month. Once when it is bright as we always consider it “full”, and once when it is completely black, at its conjunction! So this riddle can be easily solved when letting it refer to the full dark moon.

It is also interesting to note that God concealed himself in a thick cloud at Sinai from the multitude of people so that they would not make a graven image of him. In a similar vein, it looks possible that the dark phase of the moon would be what God would choose as the important marker, rather than when it can be seen. All thru history people have been worshipping the moon, and a very large religious group even today has crescent moon symbols all over their religious paraphernalia.

daniel’s toes

Daniel 7:41 And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay.

42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.

43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
——————————-
Laying in bed last nite thinking over this image, i got to wondering why the toes are so “long”. Babylon, the head, didn’t even last 100 years, then the chest lasted around 200, and the thighs not even 200, then the long legs of Rome which lasted all the way down to 1798 when the pope was taken prisoner. I can understand that. But the feet and toes should not last so long, but here we are, over 210 years after they got started.

I know that in one respect we are “in the toes”, as that means we are in the final stages of this earth’s history, but really, are we in a period of time, or have we even seen a period of time since 1798 when there were 10 kings ruling the world?

Revelation 17:12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

Who are these 10 kings? Since they are partly iron, we can be safe in believing that part of them will be related somehow to the Roman empire. What is the clay? hmmm The bible mentions Israel as being clay, and also all humans as being clay. I don’t see much help there. Maybe it would be good to find some root definitions for “clay”? I don’t see much help in tracking down “chaff” either, as that is what all these metals are called after the stone hits them. It is interesting to note that the stone doesn’t just destroy the direct metals it strikes – the iron and clay, but it destroys all the metals in the image.

With my current knowledge, the best i can say regarding the ten toes of Nebuccahdnezzar’s image, is that in the near future we will have 10 kings rule the world. That seems to fit exactly with the prophecy in Revelation also. Any comments/advice are appreciated.

God’s covenant with Israel, as seen thru Seventh-day Adventist eyes

This shows what we SDAs normally think of God’s covenant with Israel, and what it means to us today.

And God gave the 10 Commandments. Then he said to treat the slaves well (of course we are more evolved today and the idea of having slaves is repulsive anyway), don’t take usury from a neighbor (unless you put your money in a bank, in which case you don’t know what they do with your money, so don’t worry about it), don’t have sex with animals (obvious), don’t take or give bribes (unless it is like in calling a SDA institution by the name of someone who gives it a lot of money), do lots of stuff with blood and guts of animals (glad that era is over), keep the feasts (until Jesus comes and does them so we don’t have to), eat only clean meat (we’ve evolved past that too to such a high plane that we don’t eat any meat anymore – smug smug wink wink), you must purify a woman after childbirth (whaaaa?), you must wear blue tassels on your clothes (who’s heard of that?), if you have some body issue, you are unclean (just wash it off), don’t have sex with your relatives (that’s gross anyway), you must rebuke your Brother if you see him sin (we are kinder than that and believe in “do not judge”), don’t sow two kinds of seed in your fields (who farms anymore anyway?), don’t round the corners of your beards (what on earth?), don’t eat the fruit of your trees until the 5th year (what a waste), you shall reverence my sanctuary (what’s the big deal? we like to have christmas parties and bazaars and even dramas and movies in it), you shall not give any of your children to Molech (but we have more compassion than you do God, because we believe that if it is a hard thing for the mother to bear her child, it is OK for her to kill it), if your children curse their parents, put them to death (tsk tsk, God, you are soooo intolerant. just let them feel their oats for a while. they’ll come around), you shall kill the homosexuals and sorcerers (but we are so far more evolved than you are God, we just LOVE them), you must keep 7 feasts (you did that Lord so i don’t have to, besides, it would be a real hassle, plus we don’t even know how to calculate the feast days or know what to do on them. wasn’t that just a jewish thing anyway?), you shall let the land rest every 7th year (not really practical in today’s world is it God?), you shall let everything go back to its original owner in the year of jubilee (then how could we live in this world?), if your Brother becomes poor, let him live with you (what! and have some stranger staying in my house!?), and remember to pay a tithe (yes Lord, this is very, very important, and we will promise to enforce this one to the letter).

And God said: Do you promise to do all my commandments and statutes and judgments and enter into a covenant with me and receive my blessings? And all the 21st century Seventh-day Adventists said: God, there are some really good ideas here, some that could be hashed out and improved on in a committee, but some of them are really just inappropriate today, and quite a few of them are so unloving and intolerant, that we really would rather just pass. Thanks anyway. But we’ll be sure to keep most of the 10 commandments, and stay away from the more objectionable sexual perversions, try to eat clean food, and of course pay the tithe. The rest tho is just too much bother. Surely we’ll get the majority of your blessing anyway for keeping some of these things, and we are really too busy to worry much about losing the little blessings from some of the more obscure things. The whole covenant thing sounds kind of old-fashioned. We just want to love you Jesus, but all this other stuff is a bit much, don’t you think? Hope to see you come on the cloud someday and take us to heaven 🙂
