sonoluminescence and God’s words

God’s words are very powerful, as every Christian knows and attests to. Many Christians today tho, believe that it is OK to change God’s words around to suit the circumstances. Even in the Seventh-day Adventist church, which makes so much of keeping parts of the Bible, other parts are not seen as necessary, and the inspiration of the Bible is held in doubt by nearly 100% of the “scholars” in the church including the “conservatives”.

I believe all the words in the Bible are from God, and that we change even one of them at our peril. God did not just give the ideas to the prophets and they wrote the best they could, but that they were inspired by the Holy Ghost and wrote down the actual words of God.

Deuteronomy 18:18-19 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require [it] of him.

And of course this famous passage of which Jesus quoted from when tempted by the Devil to turn stones into bread: Deut 8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every [word] that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

What does this have to do with sonoluminescence? Actually, what IS sono……? “Sonoluminescence occurs when a sound wave of sufficient intensity induces a gaseous cavity within a liquid to collapse”. So what, you say? Well, what happens when that “bubble” collapses is awesome. The effect has been nicknamed “star in a jar” by some, because when the conditions are right, the bubble glows with an intense light. Some people think that fusion may even be occurring, as it looks like the temperatures on the surface of this bubble are millions of degrees.

This short youtube video is what got me interested in this phenomenon: youtu.be/LWO93G-zLZ0 It is part of a longer bbc program where they tried to debunk it, as the bbc is the self-proclaimed arbiter of truth in the world. Rusi Taleyarkhan is a scientist who claims to have observed fusion by this method, but his work has not been replicated elsewhere.

What is exciting to think about from a believer in the power of God’s words, is how God made this world and upholds it. The Bible consistently says he “spoke” and it was “done”. So perhaps this is a small scientific explanation of how that works. I have seen other videos where scientists surmise that perhaps God’s words are so powerful, that they can physically create the lattice-work for all material from nothing, for real. Of course i believe God did make everything from nothing by speaking, but have never considered how that could be accounted for from a human understanding of science until now. So this is pretty exciting to me.

Ezekiel 12:25 For I [am] the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord GOD.

Let’s follow all of God’s words and consider the power they have, and be looking forward to and hastening the day of their fulfillment./font>
