Roman Catholic Church in America increasing due to immigrants

While over 50% of Roman Catholics in the US lived in the Midwest and Northeast as recently as 2007, now the largest percentage is from the South and West – exactly following recent influxes of immigrants. Anyone with a heart even partially in tune with God’s words can see the connection between an organization that has worked harder and longer than any other to destroy the words of God in the Bible, and their support of illegal acts so they could gain more adherents in the US.

Revelation 13 has foretold an unholy alliance between two beasts. It will be between the RCC (1st beast), and US (2nd beast). When these two link up, there will be hell on earth.

UN flies Vatican flag for first time

From Fox News 2015/9/18
A United Nations official confirms that the flag of the Holy See will be raised for the first time outside U.N headquarters the morning of Pope Francis’ first visit.

It is a turnaround for the Vatican, whose U.N. ambassador has said it had “no intention” of raising the flag before the pope arrives Sept. 25.

The General Assembly last week overwhelmingly approved a Palestinian proposal to raise its flag and that of the Holy See as the U.N.’s two non-member observer states.

The Palestinians have announced a ceremony for their flag-raising Sept. 30 during the annual U.N. gathering of world leaders. But the Holy See flag is set to be raised quietly.

The official spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk publicly about the event.

The Vatican is showing more of its political power. The beast of Revelation 13 is arising!

Lord of the World (recommended by pope Francis) review

Lord of the World by BY Robert Hugh Benson (1907) book review
C-
Since this book was recommended by Pope Francis, I thot maybe it would be worth reading to see if it would give any clues to what the papacy is thinking regarding the final events soon to take place. I think it does, but it is difficult to tell the reason that the pope considered this book important enough to warrant recommending to the world.

As a Seventh-day Adventist, I believe that the papal system is the great whore of Revelation who will rule the world for 3 1/2 years and severely persecute all those who go against her law to keep Sunday. So I was kind of looking for something on the Sabbath or something else about God’s commmandments. Instead, it was an entire upend on what the Bible has written about the Catholic Church’s role in end-time events.

Instead of the Little Flock being persecuted by the world-dominating Roman Catholic Church, it is the RCC which has become the Little Flock who is persecuted by a secular-humanist-socialist one-world government!

If you wish to read the book, you may wish to skip the rest of this review, as the entire plot is given away.

The story is set around the beginning of the 21st century, it seems. That’s right, just the time we live in now. As a science-fiction work, the only “cool” thing is something slighly less impressive than airplanes. So as a work of “future cool things”, it is sadly lacking.

But what is the message of the book? It talks about the object of secular education finally giving rise to a secular antichrist-type figure. In describing the rise of this secularism, it talks about the dying of patriotism, rise of pantheism, school teachers replacing prophets, psychology and materialism merging, and thru it all, there is the Freemason menace. Anyone with knowledge of Roman Catholicism knows that Freemasons are their mortal enemies. This part of the story is actually quite true.

The story is told thru several characters’ viewpoints, a young, rising secular politician and his wife in the UK, a couple of priests in the UK, and the end by a Syrian Catholic. The UK priest describes how it is to be a priest and have doubts and fears like everyone when the world is turning against everything you believe in. His methods are what the RCC traditionally does – self-exclusion, ecstatic self-contemplation where he experiences the heart of Christ and Mary and becomes one with the dead saints, does the Mass, rosary, etc.

Interestingly, Democracy is put on the same plane as the hated Freemasonry. Does this show the hatred the RCC has towards freedom? I think so.

The world is split into the East, Europe, and the Americas. The East is thinking of war, but a senator from America goes and calms them down, and then his secular rhetoric sways Europe, but interestingly, he is held in most suspicion in his native country of America. This part certainly reminded me of a certain political leader we have now (2015) in America!

The author can’t have it that the secular triumph will allow people to just do away with all religious symbols and doctrine, so he has them making images and feasts, festivals, and beautiful speeches about free will etc., calling to my mind what actually happened in the French Revolution. Again, as a book of science fiction, there is little imagination displayed.

He goes over several things that he seems to find central to the Roman Catholic faith – the mass, the prayer, the rosary, and Jesus Christ. I was surprised to see Mary was not put on a tall pedestal, but she is honored quite a lot in the book. The secular govt. installs four new festivals of Maternity, Life, Sustenance and Paternity. Somehow here, to me, the author is showing the importance the RCC places on festivals/feasts/celebrations. Then, he writes something quite interesting, saying of this secular govt.: “Sunday worship was to be purely voluntary.”

Pantheistic worship is inaugurated, the antichrist embodies everything Christ is except the individual becomes subordinate to the group and nature itself. This is interesting, as actually it is the RCC that tries to force people to become subordinate to the group and nature.

Then Rome is destroyed by the secular govts of the world to destroy a cancer and make everybody of one mind and heart, Europe forsakes Christianity. The pope moves to Israel. The only Christians left are all RCC.

The final part of the book is quite mystical/spiritualistic. I got to where I just skimmed over several pages, as it is gobbledygook about feelings. It seemed like it was promoting spiritual contemplation – mystical nonsense.

It ends somehow. Reading it, I still couldn’t tell what happened.

My overall take is that it is a middlin’ book, not worthy of notice if the pope had not mentioned it. The main takeaway from it as a Seventh-day Adventist Christian who knows that the papal system is the first beast of Revelation 13, and the great whore who sits on many waters that has killed more Christians in history than any other single organization, and will rule the world for 3 1/2 years inflicting terrible persecution on God’s people again, is that it turns prophecy on its head by trying to make the RCC out to be the Little Flock, and the secular-humanistic-Freemason-Atheist world as the main persecuting power in the end. The fact that Protestants are never even mentioned in the book except once to say “Protestantism is dead” is highly significant to me. In the same paragraph it states: “There are a few faddists left, especially in America and here; but they are negligible.”

This is my main take on the book – the writer paints the Roman Catholic Church as the only Christian group, that “faddists in America” are neglibible, and that the RCC must take the fight to the secular-humanistic world to win all for Jesus.

Now that’s some science fiction for sure!
—————————————-
Let’s be “faddists” for Jesus, and keep the flame of the Protestant Reformation burning bright to the end when we see Jesus come in the clouds and take his little flock of those who keep his 7th day Sabbath (sundown Friday to sundown Saturday), and all his other Commandments, Statutes, and Judgments to heaven to live with him forever.

Jesus Christ, true Lord of the World and the whole Universe!

Jonathan Cahn tells US govt. leaders to follow God or Baal

Jonathan Cahn, author of The Harbinger which showed how 9/11 and other recent events in America are fulfilling prophecy, gave a speech at the US Capitol building on April 29, 2015. He was originally Jewish, but has become Christian, altho not Seventh-day Adventist.

This is the most powerful short sermon (8 mins) that I can ever remember in my lifetime, and to think that it was given to govt. leaders! It had me on my knees crying for joy and pain after viewing it, as it is so true.

It also made me remember a quote by Ellen White: “Among the Jews are some who, like Saul of Tarsus, are mighty in the Scriptures, and these will proclaim with wonderful power the immutability of the law of God. The God of Israel will bring this to pass in our day. His arm is not shortened that it cannot save. As His
servants labor in faith for those who have long been neglected and despised, His salvation will be revealed.” Acts of the Apostles.

I believe this prophecy was partly fulfilled by Mr. Cahn on April 29, 2015.

Let’s be as bold for Jesus, and do what we can to lead Jews to their Savior – Jesus Christ.

Day of Atonement October 23, 2015

Many people are saying many “convergences” are going to happen around the middle to end of September this year. They are:
1. The pope will make a historic first-ever address to both houses of the US government
2. The pope will also talk at a family day in Philadelphia, and then at a UN meeting to implement goals to reduce poverty etc. He is supposed to release an encyclical too around this time frame.
3. The supposed Day of Atonement is September 23, but that date is mistaken.
4. The Shemitah, or 7 year cycle, is supposed to fall this September (but actually it will be in October). Every 7 years the markets go crazy – 1987 with the largest single drop ever in DJIA history, some bond market fall in 1994, of course 9/11 in 2001, and the Lehman shock in 2008. Some say it has to do with the Shemitah when God wants the land to rest every 7 years.
5. The Large Hadron Collider (CERN) in Europe is set to ramp up in September. Even some non-christian scientists say the “gates of hell” could be opened. I don’t believe that our machines can release demons on the earth, but who knows.
6. A high-level French official said not long ago that we have 500 days to avoid climate catastrophe. That ends too in this time frame.
7. Isaac Newton predicted something to happen in this time frame.
8. Supposedly the stars are aligned as mentioned in Revelation 12.
etc. etc.

No, I’m not agreeing with all of these. I do agree strongly that the pope being invited to address the US House and Senate is a very significant event fulfilling prophecy. Will there be natural or manmade disasters or financial calamaties happen in this time frame too? I don’t know.

Certainly it is a good time to be aware tho.

Here is a video I made on the subject:

HOWEVER, the date of the Day of Atonement this year is October 23. No Seventh-day Adventist should ever fall for the idea that it is in September this year. We know that October 22, 1844 was the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) for that year, as that is the exact day that the 2300 day prophecy finished, and Jesus stepped into the Most Holy Place to start working there. To arrive at that date, you MUST start the new year with the first new moon (whether conjunction or sliver is a different matter) AFTER the Spring Equinox. There is no way the currently accepted method among most Hebrew Roots people and Statute keeping SDAs of starting the new year with the first FULL MOON after the Spring Equinox could possibly arrive at a date of October 22.

So let’s keep our eyes and ears open to the signs of the times, and while not falling for every conspiracy theory, let’s be aware of what is happening, and not let our guard down when the things don’t happen on the exact days in September as many are looking for. (BTW, God may do some things on the days these people are looking for anyway, to keep them on their toes).

“Celebration” is pope’s new buzzword for Sunday worship

The Pope is traveling to the United States in September, 2015, and he is going to be doing several things, one of which is perhaps fulfilling biblical prophecy:
1. He will be the first pope to ever officially address the U.S. Congress
2. He will talk at a World Family Day event in Philadelphia
3. He will talk at the U.N.

Doug Batchelor of Amazing Facts has made a 9 minute video explaining how the pope’s recent radio broadcast shows that the pope will be calling for Sunday “celebration” when he talks in America. Of course those who are knowledgeable about Bible prophecy know that Sunday worship will be promoted by Babylon at the end time, and the 144,000 will worship God on his holy 7th-day Sabbath.

May we give the trumpet a certain sound!

Seventh-day Adventists should vote

My mother used to tell me that voting was wrong, as we partake of the sins of those whom we vote for. I tended to believe her, until I studied it out for myself. It is clear from Ellen White’s writings that we are to vote. Specifically, we are to vote to uplift the morals of society, and not to vote for party politics.

Here is a short quote from Ellen White’s diary of 1859 regarding the question of voting:

[Battle Creek,] Sunday, March 6, 1859
Had an interview with Martha Byington. Cut out a dress. We were perplexed; took it all to pieces and made it over. Spent the afternoon with [Mary] Loughborough; attended meeting in the eve. Had quite a free, interesting meeting. After it was time to close, the subject of voting was considered and dwelt upon. James first talked, then Brother Andrews talked and it was thought by them best to give their influence in favor of right and against wrong. They think it right to vote in favor of temperance men being in office in our city, instead of—by their silence—running the risk of having men of non-temperance put in office. Brother Hewitt told his experience of a few days, and is settled that it is right to cast his vote. Brother Hart talked well.

Brother Lyon opposed. No other objected to voting, but Brother Kellogg begins to feel that it is right. Pleasant feelings exist among all the brethren. Oh, that they may all act in the fear of God. Men of intemperance have been in the office today, in a flattering manner expressing their approbation of the course of Sabbathkeepers in not voting, and expressing hope that they will stick to their course and, like the Quakers, not cast their vote. Satan and his evil angels are busy at this time and he has a work upon the earth. May Satan be disappointed, is my prayer.

[Battle Creek,] Monday, March 7, 1859
It is rainy today. It looks very gloomy without, but if the Sun of righteousness shines in my heart all is well and no outward appearance and gloom can make me sad. Today the votes are cast for town officers.

——————
Let’s disappoint Satan, and use our influence in favor of right like liberty and freedom, and against wrongs like abortion and same-sex marriage.

Ellen White previously unreleased manuscripts 1845-1856

The Ellen G. White Estate is entrusted with handling the written works of Ellen White, who I, and most Seventh-day Adventists, believe was a prophetess of the Lord. As she was one of the 3 co-founders of the SDA church, her writings reveal a lot of history and give insights to how the early church developed.

Quite a large portion of her writings were not published in her day. Even after her death in 1915, many years passed with only a few compilations being produced, but not anywhere near the entire works. Some reasons I’ve heard for the reluctance of the Estate to release all her works is that some of the material is of a very personal nature – pointing out direct sins in a certain individual, and that some of it was more specific for her day. So a lot of the published material up to this point will, for example, talk about a “Mr. M” or “Br. R” when really she is talking about Mr. Canright, or Dr. Kellogg etc. This desire to protect the identities of people involved has unfortunately given rise to conspiracy theories, and has caused some to attack the motives of Ellen White herself. I’ve personally found several areas where what she wrote rebuking leaders such as Uriah Smith in parts of the 30+ Testimonies for the Church Series were removed when edited down into the familiar 9-volume “Testimonies to the Church” set we usually see today.

Some layman groups started to take matters into their own hands, and in the late 1960s Leaves of Autumn started printing many of the collections of manuscripts such as “Series A” and “Series B” and I think some others like the “Paulson Collection” and “Kress Collection” and Southerland & Magan Collection” etc. Then in the 1980s, the call for her works to be put in digital format became strong, and I remember personally purchasing her works on laser disc in 1988. Not too long after the well-known CD of her writings came out.

Many purchasers of the CD were under the impression that all her writings were on it, but deep students were surprised to see that was not so. Somewhere around 2008 or so, some people going by the moniker “SDAnonymous” threatened to sue the E.G. White Estate unless they came forth with all the material. While I do not agree with threatening a lawsuit, the upshot of the action was that the Estate did agree to come out with all the material.

In 2015, just before the GC Session in San Antonio, the Estate said they released all the remaining material. They provided a link to it on the internet, but the link just took me to the page where you can do a search on all her material – i.e.; It is impossible to get a handle on what was newly released, as it was all mixed up with everything else.

But the SDAnonymous group sent me the new releases separately by email, and yesterday I read thru the 125 pages of the first batch (1845-1856). Below are quotes that interested me. Most of these have never been published before, but a few have, as these newly-released materials are sometimes just portions of manuscripts that were edited before being released in the past. Some of the following were accounts written by others taking dictation of what she had said in vision.

I saw that the nations had not power to hold themselves. I also saw that we were not to cry to God to hold the four winds, nor to the nations, but one angel was to cry to other angels equal in power, to hold until the servants of God were sealed in their foreheads.

pope against capitalism

In his book “Keys of This Blood”, former Jesuit and Vatican insider Malachi Martin unveils the plans of the Vatican for world domination. In the 1990 book, it talks about how Communism will be overthrown, and then Capitalism will be overthrown, leaving Catholicism as the undisputed leader of the world.

This article of July 11, 2015, in the New York Times (no friend of true Christianity) shows where we are in that process:

His speeches can blend biblical fury with apocalyptic doom. Pope Francis does not just criticize the excesses of global capitalism. He compares them to the “dung of the devil.” He does not simply argue that systemic “greed for money” is a bad thing. He calls it a “subtle dictatorship” that “condemns and enslaves men and women.”

Having returned to his native Latin America, Francis has renewed his left-leaning critiques on the inequalities of capitalism, describing it as an underlying cause of global injustice, and a prime cause of climate change. Francis escalated that line last week when he made a historic apology for the crimes of the Roman Catholic Church during the period of Spanish colonialism – even as he called for a global movement against a “new colonialism” rooted in an inequitable economic order.

The Argentine pope seemed to be asking for a social revolution.

Yes, it is coming. The west, led by America, is in the throes of destroying not only its physical capital by piling up huge mountains of debt, but also moral capital by promoting murdering babies and legalizing acts God calls “abominations”.

The Great Whore will rule for 3 1/2 years over the 10 kings.

All those of us who are awake, be warned and warn others!

hike to nara japan with friend

On my last birthday I went to Nara with a friend I’ve known for around 25 years. Nara was the ancient capital of Japan between 710 and 794, before it was moved to Kyoto, just around 20 miles to the north. I highly recommend it for anyone wishing to sightsee in Japan, as it has many historical places, and yet isn’t snobbish and overrun with tourists like Kyoto often is.

This video has several amusing parts to it.

we are under obligation to keep all the statutes, including the feast days

Recently there was an article on Advindicate about whether we should keep the feasts of the Lord or not. The author was quite against the feasts, and recommended me to check what James White wrote in the first volume of the Present Truth magazine in 1849. Here is my response:
.
Yes, the Present Truth was a wonderful impetus to the 7th day Sabbath message – Praise God!
.
We need to remember that just a couple of years earlier, James and even Ellen White were against the 7th day Sabbath. Joseph Bates was the main promoter among the Advent people.
Here are two quotes from volume 1 of that magazine, written by James White.”The law of Moses, was a law of shadows, which were abolished when the new, second, and better covenant came.”

“while the Gentile Christians were free from these customs, as they had not been educated in them.”
.
But we see from inspired writings that he was mistaken.
———–
In consequence of continual transgression, the moral law was repeated in awful grandeur from Sinai. Christ gave to Moses religious precepts which were to govern the everyday life. These statutes were explicitly given to guard the ten commandments. They were not shadowy types to pass away with the death of Christ. They were to be binding upon man in every age as long as time should last. These commands were enforced by the power of the moral law, and they clearly and definitely explained that law. {RH, May 6, 1875}
———–
The Lord Jesus gave these commandments from the pillar of cloud, and Moses repeated them to the children of Israel and wrote them in a book, that they might not depart from righteousness. We are under obligation to fulfill these specifications; for in so doing we fulfill the specifications of the law of God. {RH, December 18, 1894}
———–
The light given me is that we are to study more than we do the instruction given to Moses by God after He had proclaimed the law from Sinai. The ten commandments were spoken by God Himself, and were then written on tables of stone, to be preserved till the judgment should take place. After the giving of the law, God gave Moses specifications regarding the law. These specifications are plain and explicit. No one need make a mistake.

In the day of judgment we shall be asked whether we have lived in harmony with these specifications. It is because we do not carry out these specifications in all our dealings, in our institutions, our families, and in our individual lives, at all times, and in all places, that we do not make greater advancement. It is by the directions that God has given that we shall be judged at the last day. {AUCR, March 25, 1907
———-
So let’s keep all of God’s commandments, statutes, and judgments, as we are going to be judged by them, and so we can make greater spiritual advancement. 🙂
———-
Many of us Seventh-day Adventists basically sing this tune:
Be like Jesus, this my song,
In the home and in the throng;
Be like Jesus, all day long! (unless it’s a feast day)
I would be (somewhat) like Jesus.

Thailand Mission to print 1858 Great Controversy

The Thailand Mission is getting ready to print the Thai edition of the 1858 Great Controversy. This book was translated around 7 years ago and we printed 1,000 copies privately, but now it has been edited, and the Thailand Mission is going to print it thru the help of an organization set up to print/reprint Ellen White books in the Thai language.

May God receive all the glory.

Update July 12, 2015:
I’ve gotten word that somehow the funds have dried up, and that no one is willing to work to do the layout work to print it.
Please pray for this project.

anti-terrorism laws enabling US courts to prosecute foreigners while in their own countries!

The NY Times (no friend of Christian principles) reported today how US government anti-terrorism laws are being interpreted broadly to mean that they apply to foreigners in their own countries. There are some examples cited in the article showing how some Muslim jihadists were travelling in Africa, and suddenly found themselves in a jail in New York.

nytimes article on foreigners being basically abducted and tried in the US

This development looks to have direct implications for the Little Flock at the end time who refuse to bow to the beast, and who wish to honor God by keeping his day holy from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday.
