wanderwegging in switzerland

It was a beautiful morning, so i took off over the “wanderweg” (wander-lane), to the train station to buy a ticket to the airport near Milan, Italy which i will be flying out of next Thursday. The sign said 45 minutes, and everyone told me that was for “family” walkers, so i should be able to do it in around 25 minutes. Well, i went about 20 minutes, and came to a road, and no more signs. So i go this way and then that way, and finally pick up the signs again. They are pointing to the station – back the way i came from! I wound up walking around for 2.5 hours, until i finally came to the station. Yes, it was only about 5 minutes from the road i came to in the morning, where there were no more signs! It struck me while walking, how Switzerland is so, so precise, and even the signs for little “wanderwegs” are made so well, yet they don’t point in the right direction!! haha. If you look at the scenery i enjoyed along the way tho, you can tell i sure didn’t mind the extra exercise 🙂
