Awakening believer, Jack Walker, dies at 86

Jack Walker, a member of the “Ridgetop Awakening Group” has passed away at the age of 86. Jack Walker was kind of the leader of the Ridgetop group. I don’t really remember him, but have a very faint feeling that he was a fun guy.

My mother was a believer in the Awakening message by Robert Brinsmead in the mid 1960s up to around 1972. This caused extreme friction in our family, as my father was very much against the “offshoots” as they were termed, and more derisively “Brinsmeads”. One of my first recollections of life is of a Seventh-day Adventist pastor of the church in Madison Tennessee screaming at my mother, and then later, my mother hurrying away with me into the neighborhood/fields behind our house to escape my dad who we could see driving his car looking for us, knowing that he would kill us if he found us in his rage.

There was an uneasy truce with frequent flare-ups in our house after that incident. Often, on Sabbaths, my mother would drive the 25-30 miles or so to Ridgetop Tennessee where she would fellowship with like-minded believers in the Awakening message. Normally I would listen to a few minutes, and then run off downstairs to play or whatever. Towards the end of that experience, I remember sitting in an old building in Coalmont Tennessee with maybe around 20 people, and the solemnity, earnestness, deep study etc. has left an impression on me that I thank God for, and for which I keep longing will be resurrected or even exceeded before I go the way of all humans.

In 1972 when Robert Brinsmead came to Nashville TN, he was teaching that Ellen White isn’t to be trusted, and even the first few chapters of the Bible can’t be taken literally. I can still remember my mother standing up in front of around 200 people at the Ramada Inn conference room, asking with tears in her eyes if he was rejecting the authority of parts of the Bible and Ellen White, and then leaving when getting an affirmative response. So after being rejected by the official SDA structure, she now was rejected by the Awakening people too. That was the single, bravest thing I’ve ever seen anyone do in my life. Sadly, most of the Awakening people were following Robert Brinsmead, instead of the truth, and Jack Walker, along with around 95% of them, left the truth and started forging their own path.

There was no more contact between myself and any of the Ridgetop Awakening people after that incident until around 2009 when I met Mr. Poulton at the Lebanon TN SDA church. At the potluck we talked a bit, and he was so lost in a fog of “no 2 apartment sanctuary in heaven, Jesus did it all on the cross” etc. I knew that Robert Brinsmead had gone from disbelieving Ellen White to rejecting the Sanctuary and Investigative Judgment to rejecting the Sabbath, and recently is on record as saying that he isn’t even sure if there is a God or not, but would like to think so, so I expected that.
Somehow I found Jack Walker on the internet in 2011. He remembered me, or more rightly, my mother, and kindly sent me a picture taken around 1968 with a young boy standing in front of him. Sure enough, it was myself 🙂 We had a few emails pass between us, but it was sad to see that he had rejected the basic truths of Adventism. He wrote me once: “The atonement was made on the cross. It is another human error to place the atonement some where in the last days.” He believed that Jesus will save all people except only those who outright reject him. I pleaded with him to come back to his earlier understanding of the Bible and Adventist and Awakening doctrine, but he wasn’t moved. Then yesterday, this email about his passing…..

Another piece of the puzzle that is my life is fixed forever in place in one respect, and lost forever in one respect. How is it with my soul today? With yours?

1888 Materials video

I try to read as much inspired writings as I can, and the older I get, the more I want to only read inspired writings. Having read a lot about the 1888 Message over the years, I dived into the 1888 Materials in 2008. I finally finished reading all 4820 paragraphs around the end of 2013.

What did I glean from this 5-year project (admittedly with many starts and stops along the way)? Mostly, that the biggest problem wasn’t doctrinal at all, but the haughty attitude of the leaders (represented mostly by Butler and Smith), and how they treated the young ministers with a different view (mostly Jones & Waggoner). The leaders also put down Ellen White every chance they could, as she basically supported Jones and Waggoner in their presentation of the Righteousness of Christ.

One very interesting take on reading the 1888 Materials, is that it seems that God was leading the Seventh-day Adventist Church to accept all the statutes and judgments, instead of only picking out the unclean meats, sexual perversions, and tithe statutes, but that the Church, by rejecting the message of Righteousness of Christ, was not given added light to help them come up a rung on the ladder closer to Jesus by following what he did while he walked this earth as a human.

This video covers what I consider to be the main points in the 1888 debate, and also highlights quotes that I saw as very important, or else very unusual and interesting. The completed video will be around an hour and a half long, so will be broken out into 3 parts. The first part is now available on youtube. Any comments, and especially “likes” on the video itself would be appreciated. May we uplift God’s messengers, even if they are younger than we are, and strive as much as possible to see eye to eye with the brethren.

spectrum magazine video

Today I put up a new video on youtube called “Spectrum Magazine banned”. It’s about how Spectrum, which is progressive/liberal magazine with a bent to tearing down basically everything Seventh-day Adventism stands for, is intolerant of views that don’t agree with their own. They do provide more details into stories that affect Seventh-day Adventists, and don’t just sugar-coat everything like the official SDA news sources always do, but their insistence on denigrating Ellen White and SDA doctrine is not the fruit of a holy spirit.

What is worse, is that many of their articles are even written by pastors and leaders and scholars in the SDA church itself!!

http://youtu.be/PnGSkR_Bl-g

I pray those responsible for publishing Spectrum will repent, and turn back to the truth as it is in Jesus.

Liberty Magazine (NARLA) thinks religious hostility in America is good

I just made a new video to protest NARLA’s response to the fact that “The U.S. saw a marked increase in hostility toward religion starting in 2009”. Instead of decrying it, NARLA is spinning it as a “good thing”!!

The North American Religious Liberty Association (NARLA) is the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s member-driven organization dedicated to promoting liberty of conscience and freedom of religion, and combating religious intolerance at the local, state, and national levels.
(From the official website)
———–
When I was little, I spent the beginning of
many Sabbaths reading Liberty Magazine.

(and Church & State, National Geographic,
Southern Tidings, Reader’s Digest etc.)
——————
It was good to see them on the front lines,
standing tall for religious liberty everywhere
it was threatened, in America and abroad.
————–
But it seems now the new leaders
don’t have the same desire to see
religious liberty for all, and instead
are more interested in following
the standard, liberal philosophy of:
“I’m OK, you’re OK”.
———–
In January, 2014, Pew Research reported
“…the United States moved from the low
category of government restrictions as of
mid-2009 to the moderate category in
2010, where it remained in 2012.”
———–
You would expect NARLA to be concerned
about religious liberty degradation not
only abroad, but in the United States too.

They are not, tho, as this video shows.
————
Isn’t it natural to expect her to
express her concern about the
degradation of religious liberty
in America here?
————-
“The U.S. saw a marked increase in
hostility toward religion starting in
2009”. Yes, that sounds like
“bad news for religious folks”
to me. Not to you?
————
This is not a comparison with the
rest of the world. This is about
religious freedom. If NARLA is
just about comparing “relative
freedoms”, then they have no
meaning as an organization
anymore.
————
Yes, people live in “local”
places, so it is natural that
religious freedom needs are
felt at the local level.
————
To be blunt about it, for the sake
of getting tax breaks from the govt.
the SDA church has made some
compromises with the gospel of
Jesus Christ. Instead of doing
everything to the glory of God,
we are more concerned about
keeping our tax breaks (mammon).
————–
No.
America has always been a “pluralistic
society”. NARLA Director, Melissa Reid,
have you considered what happened in
2009 to cause this “religious hostility”?
America voted in a new President who
is hostile to the Christian religion.
—————
There you have it –
A “marked increase in hostility
toward religion” is spun by NARLA
to mean “Good, this might mean
more freedom for all”.

NARLA, you’ve just made yourself
irrelevant, and part of the problem,
rather than part of God’s solution.
—————-
I call on you, Melissa Reid, to repent,
and for all the NARLA workers to
get close to God’s word, and
resolve to honor God no matter the
cost to popularity with the world.

Protestants stop protesting, and return to Rome

This is big news. It is not every day you see something that you can definitely say is prophecy fulfilling right before your eyes, but what happened on January 21, 2014 with the pope sending a message to charismatic leaders in America, and they responding enthusiastically that “the protest is over” (meaning they are willing to go back to the Mother of Harlots), is amazing to see.

I highly recommend everyone to study this out, to see what the talking points are, how the enemy of all truth and righteousness is making his words softer and smoother than ever.

The following is from Kenneth Copeland’s blog:

On Jan. 21, 2014, Kenneth Copeland Ministries was blessed to receive a personal video message from Pope Francis. The attendees of KCM’s annual Ministers’ Conference were greatly inspired when Bishop Tony Palmer (charismatic Anglican), a longtime friend of Pope Francis, presented the pope’s greeting and a message he prepared specifically for them!

http://youtu.be/ehFpeVGLyxs

Kenneth Copeland’s Response to Request by Pope Francis:

Recently, I received a message from Pope Francis in which he asked that, as a ministry and part of the Body of Christian believers, we pray for him. In 1 Timothy 2:2, the Bible teaches that we are to pray “for all that are in authority.” It is scriptural that we do so. And, therefore, it is our duty to honor the Pope’s request and, as a Body of believers, join our faith with his by coming together in unity and agreeing with him in his quest, and for what is in his heart: the unity of the Body of Christ. So, in obedience to our Lord and His Word, we join our faith with that of Pope Francis as we pray with and for him, that he will receive the righteous desire of his heart, according to the words of Jesus in Mark 11:24: “That whatsoever things you desire when you pray, believe you receive them, and you shall have them.” Our desire, along with that of Pope Francis, is in the fourth chapter of the book of Ephesians: “Till we all come in the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God unto a mature man unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” This is very important to us all, as the Body of Christ.

Join with us in prayer for unity in the Body of Christ throughout the world!

Jesus is Lord!

Kenneth Copeland Ministries

========================

Pastor Doug Batchelor has put up an excellent dissection of what this means. He makes it clear that this is a call for Protestants to lay down their arms, and to come back into the “loving” fold of the Roman Catholic Church. It is so scary to see the many Protestant attendees clap and agree with the pope’s request!!

Surely we are near the end times, when Satan will work with all deceivableness of unrighteousness.

Ellen White in Testimonies vol.5 p451:

By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near.

The Record Keeper movie is broken (project officially suspended, praise God!)

UPDATED 4/13/2014 I’m really gratified to see the General Conference officially suspend the Record Keeper 🙂 Since i uploaded this video 2 months ago showing problems in the RK, and asking them to either cancel or fix it, it has gotten over 3,200 views. Interestingly, almost 700 of those views have been in the last 24 hours! Anyway, it is great to see that at least some of our leaders are more interested in staying true to God’s words than they are to cater to the popular excitement. May someone make a video that not only is interesting, but that stays true to the inspired words God gave Ellen White to write.
————
The Record Keeper is a movie sponsored by the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists to try and tell the story of the Great Controversy by Ellen White in a moving picture format.

I made a video to show the church’s position, the official trailer, and the first episode along with my recommendation to fix it to faithfully follow the inspired words in the Great Controversy book.

Jesus was the master story-teller, and the Holy Spirit says thru Ellen White that we are to use good illustrations etc. to fix the words in the mind. We also have instruction to be careful of drama. So there is a tension in any project of this nature.

Personally, i really like the steampunk style (steampunk means future-type things with a Victorian-era setting), so find this movie visually appealing. However, there are several places where it is not faithful to the book, and, in fact, teaches contrary to the book.

So my recommendation is for this movie to be redone, fixing the scenes to conform to the truth as found in the book. It would be worse to teach a false gospel, than to teach no gospel at all.

Ariel Sharon dead, anti-christ to appear soon?

Ariel Sharon, former leader of the nation of Israel, has passed away after being in a coma for several years. Does this mean the appearance of the anti-christ is soon?

While Ariel Sharon would seem to have nothing to do with the anti-christ at all, there is a very interesting story behind this.

Yitzhak Kaduri was a Kabbalist, Jewish rabbi. As such, he practiced magic and charms as Kabbalists do. He was highly revered by many as a “righteous” man because he spent most of his time copying down ancient Jewish literature. He died around the age of 104-108, but here is where the story gets interesting. He wrote a note to be opened after his death that would explain who the Messiah was. In the note, if you take the first letter of each word, it spells the Hebrew name for “JESUS”. Needless to say, many of his followers rejected this message.

Kaduri said that the Messiah would appear after the death of Ariel Sharon. At the time he said that, Sharon was in good health. But just 2 months later in 2006 he had a stroke which incapacitated him until his death yesterday, January 11, 2014.

Up to this point, the evidence would seem to point to a “Damascus Road” experience like Paul had, where someone who kicked against the pricks had a revelation of Jesus and gave their heart to him. Then it would mean that Jesus would be coming soon. BUT! Here is where the story gets quite strange. Several high-profile Christians, most noticably Carl Gallups (of youtube ppsimmons fame), have promoted this rabbi’s testimony. There is a book called “The Rabbi who found Messiah” which is at 1,165 sales position among all books on Amazon as i write this. This “messiah” that Kaduri spoke of is supposedly someone who was already alive in Israel when he said this, and won’t even know he is the messiah, but will fulfill all the prophecies, and then will finally be accepted as the messiah by all Israelites as they regain total control over their ancient land.

“Anti-christ bells” should be going off in all Bible students’ heads. Of course this whole episode may be just another false flag of Satan to rile his false Christian and Jewish subjects up, and get people prepared in the future to accept him more readily as the true messiah, but still, this bears watching, as Satan may be planning to use this in some way as a springboard to introducing his last, almost overpowering deception – his appearance as Jesus Christ, the true messiah.

May we be wise as serpents, harmless as doves, aware of what is going on around us, yet not falling for any story that is contrary to what the Lord has revealed to us in the Bible and Ellen White writings.

“Feast Days & Sabbaths” by Joe Crews review

Feast Days & Sabbaths, Are they still Binding? Joe Crews 1980s

C

This is a booklet (originally 32 pages) on the subject of whether or not we should be keeping the feast days today by a man who is regarded as one of the straightest in his theology among conservative Seventh-day Adventists from around 1970 to his death in 1994. He is the founder of Amazing Facts, a biblically centered organization that is known for its “conservative” “solid” theology. I too respect Amazing Facts very much, and consider Joe Crews to be one of the greatest champions of truth in the latter part of the 20th century. His book “Creeping Compromise” is still the standard among SDA literature for showing how our church has become Laodicean, and calling on us to repent, lift the standards, and let Jesus come in.

I was challenged to study into the feast days/holy days of the Lord in summer of 2010 by my cousin’s husband. He wasn’t a keeper either, but said he couldn’t see where they were abolished in the Bible. I did some surfing on the net, and quickly found this booklet by Br. Crews. Respecting him highly, read thru it quickly, and it confirmed what i’d always been taught and believed – the ceremonial system was abolished at the cross. I told him the results of my study, capping it with Colossians 2: 14-17, and Ephesians 2:15, and told him that settled it for me.

The next year i decided to really study deeply into whether or not October 22, 1844 was the actual date for Jesus to go into the Most Holy Place in heaven. I believed so, but wanted to know exactly how to arrive at that date. My journey led me to the Grace Amadon collection of material. The General Conference had gotten her and several other people including top theologians Froom and Andreason into a group to calculate carefully the date in the late 1930s. They did a very thorough job.

In reading their material, and of course other material i could find on how the Millerites came to the conclusion that Oct. 22, 1844 would be THE day, i slowly came to the inescapable conclusion that it all hinged on the actual day for the Day of Atonement that year. It depended on:
1. When the new year starts
2. When the month starts
3. Everything by the Hebrew calendar

There are lots of detailed charts and explanations about conjunctions and translations etc., but it keeps going back to the point that everything hinges on whether or not new moons and such have any relevance at all today. Being taught that everything related to that ended at the cross, it was very discomforting to realize that our denomination’s deepest roots go back to the moon phases of the Hebrew calendar!

That realization made me study more into what the holy days were all about. It soon became clear that our current teaching that they ended all significance at the cross is totally mistaken. For example, the disciples did not receive the gift of the Holy Ghost on just any old day, but exactly on the day of Pentecost. This is irrefutable evidence that the holy days had significance after the cross. Of course Oct. 22, 1844 had great significance too, and that is all tied into a holy day.

To the review:
He shows clearly that the 10 Commandments are not part of the Mosaic law. Good. But then he quickly turns on the Mosaic law and says that while the 10 Commandments were not done away, the “ceremonial law of statutes and ordinances came to an end when Jesus died”. He quotes 2Kings 21:8 to try and distinguish between “God’s law”, and “Moses’ law”. Inadvertently or not, he has now set up God against Moses.

two beasts of revelation 13 getting cozier

On October 26, 2013, USA Today published an opinion piece advocating closer relations between the United States and Vatican. This should ring prophetic bells for every student of prophecy, especially as they read Revelation 13 in light of this.

The blatant disregard of history with its documentation of the Catholic Church being responsible for the murder of more Christians than any other organization in history is amazing to behold.

u.s. vatican ties

“The past few years have seen cordial but cooling relations between the United States and the Vatican. Since President Obama took office, he has visited the Vatican just once, and the administration has demonstrated little more than a perfunctory interest in the Holy See’s diplomatic role in the world. This is a lost opportunity at a critical time for America. U.S. foreign policy has much to gain from its relationship with the Holy See, the governing body of the Catholic Church. No institution on earth has both the international stature and the global reach of the Holy See — the “soft power” of moral influence and authority to promote religious freedom, human liberties, and related values that Americans and our allies uphold worldwide.

God’s holy days for 2014

God has a sabbath that comes around every 7th day – from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday. He also has a special sabbath that occurs on the 10th day of the 7th month, called “Day of Atonement”. There are 6 other holy days of the Lord (Leviticus 23) in a year.

2014:

    Passover

– sundown April 13 to sundown April 14.

    1st day Unleavened Bread

– sundown April 14 to sundown April 15.

    7th day Unleavened Bread

– sundown April 20 to sundown April 21.

    Pentecost

– sundown June 7 to sundown June 8.

    Trumpets

– sundown September 24 to sundown September 25.

    Day of Atonement

– sundown October 3 to sundown October 4.

    1st day of Tabernacles

– sundown October 8 to sundown October 9.

    Last Great Day of Tabernacles

– sundown October 15 to sundown October 16.

While Passover is special, there is no command to refrain from work on it. The Day of Atonement is special, in that it is to be kept like a 7th day Sabbath, or perhaps even stricter with no work at all. The other 6 holy days just require no “servile” work.

May we rejoice in God’s wisdom and judgment in giving us holy days of rest to reflect on him.

Ted Wilson “State of the Church” address for Seventh-day Adventist Church, November 2013

President of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Ted Wilson, gave a video report of the state of the church on November 14, 2013. While being quite powerful, and pointing out 4 areas of concern in the church, he fails to address the fact that the SDA church officially approves of abortion.

Pastor, until you publicly repent for this heinous sin, your requests to God for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit will never come.

new youtube video to debunk “Yahweh sacred name” teaching

It took parts of around 3 months, as i really wasn’t super interested in the subject, but something kept driving me to get it done, so today i’ve finally uploaded a new video on how the sacred name movement is teaching error. Their insistence that everybody has to use what they believe to be the Hebrew name for God, in an attempt to “go back to our roots”, is more akin to black magic incantations where you have to say the name of God just right, or you are being disrespectful at best, or blasphemous at worst.

To use unfamiliar words in foreign languages to refer to God is never commanded in the Bible or Ellen White’s writings, so let’s just leave off this device of Satan to further confuse God’s remnant people.

encouraging 1858 great controversy work in philippines

Good morning Robin-san,
I got the following email from the Brother i sponsor in the Philippines to spread the original 1858 Great Controversy book.
————————-
How are you?.. 3rd week of september i’ve got a new reprinted copies of cebuano version of 1858 Great Controversy book.
i was there at CVM press last week, another challenges to continue promotion, lots of cebuano GC book to the church. When i’d coming back here to this city, two sda brethren waiting for me to buy a GC cebuano book. Last Wednesday evening i’ve been there in north east of this province, i am the one to speak during med-week workship of that church. After our evening med-week program the brethren got 66 copies of cebuano GC book.

Last sabbath i attend a district fellowship meeting, lots of brethren from 11 churches who gather the fellowship rally. and they gave me a time to promoted the GC book, more than 50 copies distributed at that time.

He said to me he needs more copies of cebuano GC book for his seminar program. He said that we must more deeply study GC book and let us united and help for mass distribution of the great controversy book to people that needs the gospel messages.

Here in the SDA Central church i heard a revivalist pastor, he delivered his sermon from GC 1858 edition,,, after i hearing that sermon a big encouraging for me, and I’ve got more ideas how to promote this GC book to churches.
Thank you for a prayer and encouraging,,

Let’s keep this Brother in our prayers, and may God use this inspired book to raise up a group of people who will stand for the truth tho the heavens fall.

bible explorations tabernacles 2013 stephen dickie promotes islam

Bible Explorations, based in Terra Bella California, is doing more than any other Seventh-day Adventist group to promote the Statutes of the Lord, which include the holy days. This has been a wonderful revelation of truth to me, and i highly respect Pastor John VanDenburgh for his tireless efforts to get that word out. I even went to the Passover meetings held there in California in 2012.

So it was with shock that i read their September newsletter listing the speakers and talk titles for the upcoming October Tabernacles’ meetings – Stephen Dickie “Truth from the Qur’an”.

This is awful. This is like Moses inviting Korah to give a talk to the Israelites about the “Truth in the book of Baal worship”. With trepidation, i emailed Sandy Clark, the grand daughter of Pr. VanDenburgh, with the facts i know, hoping she would reconsider. Here is our entire email exchange:
———
Hello Sandy-san,
Just had to tell you all that i was really enjoying the September newsletter for Bible Explorations, when i noticed near the bottom that you all have invited Stephen Dickie to speak at Tabernacles!!!! His talk title? – “Truth in the Qur’an”.

Why was he invited?

I’ve spent a lot of time and energy refuting this man’s views that the Muslims and Christians worship the same God.
You can read what i’ve written about his writings and talks here:

stephen dickie “islam, god’s forgotten blessing” video review

“reaching islam made simple” review

new video on seventh-day adventists and islam

And here is a detailed study i did of the Qur’an, showing where it deviates from the Bible:
http://www.timeoftrouble.com/quran/quotes-from-quran.html

The God of the Bible is emphatic that he HAS a son.
The god of the Qur’an is emphatic that he has NO son.

Please reconsider having this agent of Satan speak at your Tabernacles meetings.
Keep looking to the Son of God,
———
Her reply:
He does NOT believe that way, he gets to the Muslims by way of ONE GOD and His Son. 🙂 Not sure what your arguments are but Steve does believe in the one God we do, and His son.
———
My reply:
I have been warning people about the false gospel of Stephen Dickie for about 5 years now.
I even made a video about how some fellow SDAs are promoting the false god of the Qur’an.
Please take a look:

The part showing that yes, Stephen Dickie does indeed say that Muslims and Christians worship the same God, is between 8:10 – 10:50 .

Please call on him to repent and worship the true God, and may you retract your speaking offer.
God bless as you pray about how to move forward, always keeping your eyes on Jesus,
———
Her reply:
They do worship the same one…some may not realize it but they have ONE God and it is God. They are like the Jews, believe in God but not His Son. I see no problem. Maybe you need to study more, too. 🙂 He is fine and helping them find Jesus which is a WONDERFUL thing!
———
My reply:
God is not mocked. Just because the Qur’an professes to believe the God of Abraham does not make it so. The Qur’an is emphatic that God has no son, but the Bible is emphatic that God has a son. This is clear enough that anyone willing to, can see that the Qur’an is not from God, and consequently, the god of the Qur’an is not the same as the God of the Abraham, because Abraham worshiped the true God, the one who has a son.

I do agree that we should show love to the Muslims. Many of them are much more sincere and searching for truth than we Seventh-day Adventist Christians are. Would Jesus shun them? Of course not, he would try his best to reach them where they were, and, here is the important difference between what we should really be doing as Christians, and what the Adventist-Muslim people are doing – is that we should be lifting up Jesus as the Son of God, the Saviour of the world.

The Qur’an, in referring to Isa, (which is claimed to be Jesus, but is not the true Jesus), says regarding Isa: Sura 43:59 He is nothing but a slave on whom We bestowed favour, and We made him a pattern for the Children of Israel.

But the Bible says: John 14:6 Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me.

Pretty clear here about how much the Qur’an really values the Son of God – nothing but a slave. In contrast, Jesus calls himself the way, the truth, and the life. Notice that there is no other way to God – either you go thru Jesus, or you just don’t get to God at all. This basic pillar of Christianity has been overlooked for far too long in the name of “all you need is love”.

This should be very easy to understand, as the Qur’an emphatically says that god has no son, while the Bible emphatically says that he DOES have a son.

Many of us Seventh-day Adventists seem to have forgotten who Jesus is, and are telling people that the god of the Qur’an is the same as the God of the Bible.

Sura 18:4 And to warn those who say: Allah has chosen a son, 5 (A thing) whereof they have no knowledge, nor (had) their fathers, Dreadful is the word that comes out of their mouths. They speak naught but a lie.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
1John 2:23 Anyone who denies the Son does not have the Father either.

It is amazing to me that any Seventh-day Adventist could forget that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the only way to the one true God.

Please repent, Sandy, and believe in Jesus Christ,
————
Her reply:
Please stop insulting me. I do believe in Him. I do NOT believe in the trinity. I believe in the Father and His Son. Period. So what’s the big deal? Please stop, you are being rude and arrogant, Daniel. Some Muslims have a bad way of life, but many are like the Jews, believe in the One God of the Bible (The Bible says there is ONE GOD) and they just do not believe He had a son. I do and will teach them.

So this looks to be the end of our conversation. I will do my best to warn others, so that no one else will fall for the error of believing you can worship the Father without believing in his Son.

Jesus Christ, Son of God, how low will you let your people go before you will rise up and act?
