Finally i got to show the “Luther” movie yesterday at the Bangkok Chinese SDA church. It was powerful projected up on the wall, and i hope some of the 18 people present got courage to stand tall for the truth. My computer contracted a “USB Toy” virus (winlog0n.exe) and would not play the dvd, so one Brother at church who is active in evangelism let me use his computer. In a way it was justice, because it was from his computer that i contracted this thing 2 weeks earlier anyway – ha! (btw – removed by avg).
After we were all done, i asked if there were any questions, and no one had any, so asked one Sister to give closing prayer. After her prayer, the man who lent the computer got up and started saying that the Jesuits were the ones behind the massacres we saw in the movie (even tho the Jesuits weren’t formed until more than 10 years after this event!), that the Democracts are Catholic and Republicans are Protestant (huh?!), and that he knew who killed JFK – yep, the CIA poisoned the assassin to cover up their tracks. Finally i had enough at that point, and said that things were getting strange, and that it was time to leave.
This conspiracy garbage is really, really deep in our SDA circles. So sad. Yes, we know that there are organizations that are out to work against God, but that must in no way be connected with the Three Angels’ Messages. Let’s keep all this talk out of our mouths, and concentrate on the truth, otherwise the honest seekers of truth will be turned away from the truth when they see it mixed up with garbage.
