Interestingly, almost 700 of those views have been in the last 24 hours!  Anyway, it is great to see that at least some of our leaders are more interested in staying true to God\u2019s words than they are to cater to the popular excitement. May someone make a video that not only is interesting, but that stays true to the inspired words God gave Ellen White to write.<br \/>\n&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<br \/>\nThe Record Keeper is a movie sponsored by the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists to try and tell the story of the Great Controversy by Ellen White in a moving picture format.<\/p>\n<p>I made a video to show the church&#8217;s position, the official trailer, and the first episode along with my recommendation to fix it to faithfully follow the inspired words in the Great Controversy book.<\/p>\n<p>Jesus was the master story-teller, and the Holy Spirit says thru Ellen White that we are to use good illustrations etc. to fix the words in the mind.  We also have instruction to be careful of drama.  So there is a tension in any project of this nature.<\/p>\n<p>Personally, i really like the steampunk style (steampunk means future-type things with a Victorian-era setting), so find this movie visually appealing.  However, there are several places where it is not faithful to the book, and, in fact, teaches contrary to the book.<\/p>\n<p>So my recommendation is for this movie to be redone, fixing the scenes to conform to the truth as found in the book.
