\u201cWhat the Lord wants you to be is just, merciful, and humble. That\u2019s my goal,\u201d he said. \u201cWhy penalize someone when they\u2019re born a certain way? \u2026 These people suffer enough, just give them a break.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What does the pastor of the Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist church have to say about this abomination?<\/p>\n

Wolf Jedamski, church administrator and pastor of global mission at Collegedale Church of Seventh-day Adventists, said that only about three congregants of the 3,000-member-plus congregation have called him worried about the issue.<\/p>\n

\u201cSome members see this as a homosexual issue or a marriage issue. The church sees this as a city issue, and we are not going to get involved in it,\u201d Jedamski said. \u201cIt\u2019s not really true anymore that the city of Collegedale is a city of Seventh-day Adventists. It\u2019s grown much more diverse, and that\u2019s a good thing.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
