This quote from Ellen White is the most decisive I’ve ever seen showing the inspired truth that the words the Bible writers wrote are all from God:<\/p>\n

The work of the Holy Spirit upon the heart is shrouded in mystery. It can no more be explained than can the operation of the winds. The Lord has never explained to humanity how the soul is impressed by the Spirit of God, affecting the mind and heart of the believer, or how the Spirit puts words into the mouth of the Lord\u2019s messengers to give to his people. The prophets, who were especially enlightened by the Spirit of God, often could not understand the meaning of the words they wrote upon the paper, or explain the significance of what they uttered when the Spirit caused them to speak, but the word of the Lord accomplished the very work which he designed that it should, and the fruits of the work testified to its divine character.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This should forever settle the question among us Seventh-day Adventists, and lead those (mostly “scholars”) who loudly claim that {the words are not inspired, only the thoughts, and the writers wrote them down in their own words}, is entirely an erroneous position that needs to be repented of.

Bible inspiration is a very important subject, as it affects everything else we believe. If, like most SDA “scholars” believe today, that the words were chosen by the writers in the best way they knew how, then that means writers today might be able to express them better, thus putting ourselves above God.<\/p>\n
