The final application of the 7 Trumpets to events in the future is so powerfully written in the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy, that i can only say we, as SDAs, are willingly asleep now. May God wake us up before we are passed by.

There is some recent evidence that the historical interpretation of our founding father’s may have been more literal than they thought.
There is strong evidence now for a mountain sized asteroid striking the ocean in 536 AD. There is a double climatic dip in the dendrochronology at this time so that there is likely more than one strike. Populations fell world wide, not just in the Roman Empire.

Ellen White believed the Trumpets were in the past.

Sword2185, please re-read all of the post and you will find out that Ellen White emphatically said that Trumpet after trumpet is to be sounded”. Also, please notice that in the GC quote there is nothing about this actually being the final fulfillment of any trumpet at all.

What makes this strange to me, is how clear the Bible is that the trumpets must be in the future, but many of us SDAs prefer what we’ve been taught, rather than studying for ourselves.

in Gods word.

If Miller was not revealed the truths
of the sanctuary in heaven, yet was a chosen messenger of God. Might not
James White(an honest soul) have been seeking light on a subject that was to be revealed in God’s own time at a later date.

We are under the sounding of the 7th trumpet, whose history and future contain all the history of the first six. The pioneer position is true, and we should not step off that foundation. By understanding their position, we can better interpret current events. That History is to repeat itself is a prophetic principle. We can only understand the future application of the trumpets as we understand what God had done in the past. Some food for thought on that trumpet after trumpet quote: Trumpets are simply a symbol for war and the trumpets were a type of the end of the world which is why they are associated with the vials of the seven last plagues. Mrs. Sleeve, the web site you recommend shows the 7 Trumpets to be in the past. This is a “go to sleep” message. Please notice that the final fulfillment cannot possibly be in the past, as the 7 Trumpets don’t even start until the 144,000 are all sealed!!

By no means is the historial application of the trumpets a go to sleep message. You likely did not listen to the presentations on the trumpets 5 through 7. The simple rule of prophetic interpretation is that History will repeat itsef. If we reject the history, then we will misinterpret events of the future. It is not possible that the final fulfillment of the 7 Trumpets has occurred. The interpretation given on the mygospelworkers web site believes that the historical interpretation is correct, and then reapplies that to the end with basically a look at the current headlines in the newspapers to determine what the outcome will be.

For example, The 6th Trumpet - The Fall of the Islamic Powers and Its Modern Application says that the historical application to Islam is true, and there is also a future application to Islam with those nations getting weapons etc. etc.

There is no possible way that is true. Please look at the 5th and 6th angels, and read the words for the words, not for what we “think” the words might mean.

Again, the locusts of the 5th angel do not hurt those with the seal of God, and they do not kill anybody. This is just too obvious to overlook. The 6th Trumpet angels have 200,000,000 horses and kill 1/3 of all mankind.

I did look at the written material, but when it is so against the inspired words, i see no reason to spend time listening to the audio.
